2010-02-08: Remixes of "Eggs" and "What You Do" from Lapfox Trax

I heard Eggs on a hacked In The Groove machine the other day. The original is a pretty amazing song, so I decided to remix it. You can listen to it using the player above or download it from MediaFire.

Mid-day edit:

A remix of What You Do is also available. It has some more of that wonderful Fender Strat sound.

2010-01-25: Tell Me I'm Dreaming

Finished another song. It's short at two minutes but it's varied. I have been practicing constructing my own synth patches using Vanguard a lot lately. The filters are pretty amazing in that synth. I might do an extended version some time in the future. For now, though, you can listen to the track using the above player or download the high quality version from the MediaFire link.

2009-11-01: Destiny

Finally, a project that combines orchestral, techno and rock elements has been finished. I'm still learning to play the guitar - the song still only has simple stuff like power chords and simple solos. Recording guitar tracks twice and panning them outward really added a great level of depth to them. I hope to be able to play this sort of thing live soon.

2009-08-21: Why

I decided to wrap up progress on this old project and release it as well. As usual, you can find it on SoundClick and MediaFire using the links above.

2009-08-20: Trinity

Trinity, an experiment with mixing hard trance with my new Fender (thanks Krystal, I love you!) has found its way to SoundClick and Mediafire. Have fun :)

Also, I added an (experimental) RSS feed. You can get it here. It will contain the most recent posts.

2009-08-10: Here's My Number

You don't get my number, but you do get an experiment in Electro. Tossing this up on MediaFire as I write this.

2009-08-06: Gargoyle Remastered

The new version of Gargoyle has been uploaded. It's not a remix this time, but a complete ground-up reconstruction of the original from 2004. It's the first remaster of what I hope to be many of my old favorites. Others planned for the near future are Terminal and Concerto.

2009-07-20: Michael Jackson

I know his death happened days ago. His passing shocked millions around the globe. I took the time today to listen to all the classics that I once listened to when growing up. My favorites included Smooth Criminal, Billie Jean, Bad, and Thriller. Despite spiraling down into a controversial celebrity life and being the center for many pedophile jokes for years (and more to come) he was unmistakably the king of pop - a true innovator of the genre. It's depressing to know that in the last decade, he let fame and fortune go to his head which led him down a perilous path. Despite this, his music was truly remarkable for years and had a massive impact on the direction of music today. Much of his early works inspired me to write music in the first place.

So, I thought I'd make a post today to reflect on how much of an inspiration he really was. You will be missed, MJ. Rest in peace, brother in music.

2009-07-16: 8 Bit Weapon REMIX

I've submitted a remix for 8 Bit Weapon's "Chip On Your Shoulder" remix contest. You can get it (and optionally, vote) at the AcidPlanet page - or just get it from the 320kbps folder on MediaFire.

2009-06-26: HeyXD and OmgXD - bad.

It seems this is something that is spreading like wildfire amongst my friends list: invites from HeyXD and OmgXD. I keep getting links and they weren't sent out by approval of the account owner. Upon further inspection of the site and reviews of the place it seems that it is being used to collect AIM logins and use them to message other people on your list, sending out links to make invites and in turn collecting even more accounts. They are probably being collected as a way to spam advertisements.

Don't enter your account information on these sites!

Thank you.

2009-06-17: Sanxion7 @ Twitter

Someone asked if I had a Twitter account. I didn't, but decided it might be more convenient for some. You can follow me here. I might eventually add the Twitter entries to this page.

2009-06-09: Reflections

Heavily inspired by the music of Asura and Hol Baumann. (You really need to check these guys out if you like ambient trance/chillout type stuff.) The new song called Reflections is a fabrication of much meditation lately. If you like this, you should definitely check out the two aforementioned artists as well.

It's not available for download, because I am pushing this one to get published.

2009-06-02: Blood Lullaby

A new song is up for grabs. It's harsh and loud, and written in a genre a bit outside my comfort zone. But it's fun to try new things, and this turned out quite well. I experimented with a new mastering limiter called BuzVintageMaxi2 which is a beta version of what was released as BuzComp CL BCL201. It really does an excellent job of adding some color in addition to its limiting function. There is a bit of low-level distortion, but what I used was a beta version and it may have been fixed in the final release.

I love stuff from buzzroom. Once again, I highly recommend trying their free plugins. BuzMaxi3 is still my absolute favorite transparent brickwall limiter (though for the sake of experimentation it was not used in Blood Lullaby.)

The solo album idea has been abandoned for now, but I am still interested in doing remix work for others.

2009-04-20: ClanChat2

Those of you who have used the old version of ClanChat will definitely like this release. It should crash far less, occupy less disk space, and allow for more functionality. Currently it's in a sort of test phase, but all known bugs have been fixed. If you frequently RP in the Twilight Clan Chat, be sure to pick it up on the downloads page to give it a try.

2009-03-29: Freya's Theme Remix

I've recently finished the first version of a remix of two songs from Final Fantasy IX - Freya's Theme and Burmecian Kingdom. The two songs are very similar, so I took the melody from Freya's Theme and used the chords and key from Burmecian Kingdom since it sat best with the bass.

This remix is now available for online streaming via the player above, or download in 320kbps from the MediaFire link. The bass was created using a custom Fruity DX10 patch through a Blood Overdrive, and I also used the "compression" technique from the post below.

Also, if you frequent the Twilight Clan chat, you might be interested to know a new version of ClanChat is in the works that should be fully compatible with Windows 7, as well as other 64-bit Windows operating systems with the .NET framework. Stay tuned...

2009-03-22: Key compression in FL Studio

Ever wanted to know how some of your favorite electro house tunes "pump"? You can create the same sort of effect easily from within FL Studio. I first used this technique in "Thought You'd Like To Move", which can be played at the top of the site, or downloaded from MediaFire.
Downloadable version of the guide

Please note that this is not the same as side-chain compression, where the compressor is fed an actual signal - instead, with this technique, you are creating artificial compression and triggering it on demand, while leaving some of the other sounds in your production untouched.

========================================
Key Input Compression in FL Studio Guide
SaxxonPike@GMail.com 2009

Written for FL Studio 8, however it may
apply to earlier and later versions.
========================================

START UP

1. Start a new project.
2. Delete the tracks that appear on the default project.
3. Open the MIXER window.

SET ASIDE A TRIGGER CHANNEL

4. Select channel 1.
5. Rename it to "Key Trigger" by pressing F2.
6. On the bottom FX slot (8), select Fruity Peak Controller.
7. Open the Peak Controller.

SETUP THE TRIGGER

8. Turn BASE up to 50%.
9. Turn VOL down to -100%.
10. Make sure MUTE is still on.
11. Go back to the MIXER window.

SET ASIDE A TARGET CHANNEL

12. Select channel 2.
13. Rename it to "Key Target" by pressing F2.
14. On the bottom FX slot (8), select Fruity Parametric EQ 2.
15. Open the Parametric EQ 2.

SETUP THE TARGET GAIN CONTROL

16. Change all the band types to DISABLED (optional)
17. Right-click on the MAIN LEVEL slider and select Link To Controller...
18. Under the INTERNAL CONTROLLER section, select "Key Trigger - Peak"
19. Click Accept.
20. Go to the STEP SEQUENCER.

CREATE A TRIGGER SOUND

21. In the menu, click Channels - Add One - 3xOsc
22. Open the 3xOsc you just created.
23. In the PLUGIN tab, turn the VOL down for OSC2 and OSC3.
24. In the FUNC tab, turn the GATE all the way down.
25. In the upper-right corner, assign this 3xOsc to FX channel 1.
26. The 3xOsc should no longer make sound. This is OK!

You have just finished setting up your Key Input Compression. This is
a pretty popular technique in electronic music where you determine what
gets compressed and what does not, and when. This way you can have a
pumping beat or synths that compress only with the bass drum, while
leaving the bass drum and other channels completely intact.

To make a channel compressed with the channels we have set up, you just
need to look at the MIXER panel, at the bottom of the channel strip.
Select the channel you want to compress, look below the volume fader
and above the "FX" button to find the routing arrow, DISABLE it from
the MASTER fader on the far left, and assign it to channel 2. You can
assign as many channels as you want using this technique.

If you go into the Fruity Parametric EQ 2 on the Target channel, you
will notice that it "pumps" every time the 3xOsc is played. That 3xOsc
is what will trigger your compression. You can vary the amplitude of the
3xOsc and it will pump more or less. If it's recovering too quickly for
you, you can go to the Peak Controller on the Trigger channel and change
the DECAY to your liking.

2009-03-17: Thought You'd Like To Move

A new song is up. I wrote this one for my girlfriend around Valentine's Day, however I wasn't pleased with the quality of the vocals using my old technique. Why settle for that, when I've got a studio at MMI I can use? After tweaking the song, I took it to MMI and redid the vocals on the track. The whole session took 45 minutes from setup to teardown, and that was because I had a limited time in which to do it since the studio was pretty booked. I think it turned out great. I also experimented with a side-chain compression technique. That came to sound far better than I'd originally thought it would! I will document how I did it on YouTube soon.

You can play the song with the player above. Alternatively, you can click the MediaFire link and get the 320kbps version of it. I might consider uploading the instrumental, since some people might like it better that way. Maybe later...

Love you, Krystal :)

2009-02-14: DEADAUDIO and stuff

While attending MMI and spending some time in the studio, one gets the opportunity to hear (yet-)unrecognized local talent. DEADAUDIO is one of my favorites that have come through. A new remix project is in the works, approved by the band themselves.

BeMedia Ripper is undergoing a complete rewrite using the .NET framework. More details to come as the program's features become more fleshed out.

As for my late inactivity, that's due to switching to the Windows 7 beta. (I backed everything up and stashed it away in case the beta decides to go nuts or something.) I never used Vista because of all the bad publicity surrounding it. I have been using Windows XP since like... 2002-ish. On top of that I have been using bbClean_Mod to completely redesign the interface I use to run applications (I believe I can access any important apps with one click with the IconBox, and all others with two.. though I'll admit it took some time to personalize.) With Windows 7 it's been a bit more difficult to customize - for one thing, ditching the Start menu required an application called Start Killer. Also, apparently they added the feature to be able to alt-tab to the desktop - something I'd like to be able to disable so it doesn't ruin the bbClean_Mod workspace. Also, I had to put a shortcut to the shell in my Startup menu since Explorer doesn't like being replaced. I really just want the core features of Windows, without the extra crap. They need to sell Windows BSX - BullShit eXcluded. You get the kernel, the basic services, and that's it.

Rants aside, the beta is running smoothly and I have managed to get my desktop just the way I had it on XP. I think the only thing I really gained was a faster startup time, a free legit (limited duration...) Windows installation, use of DirectX 10, and an opportunity to determine whether or not I actually want Windows 7. The way I use Windows 7 and the way I have my desktop set up is not any different than XP. Some applications seem to run faster. After whittling down certain Windows features (which actually wasn't difficult to do this time around) I've gotten resource use to be about the same as it was before.

Listen, Microsoft - to some people, less is more.

I can dream.

2009-01-22: Gargoyle (Remastered)

I've had quite a few comments about this song lately. The general opinion was that the original was the best one, and the remixes don't even come close. I dug around on my backups and found files to the original song. I've begun to rebuild the song from scratch and a couple measures of progress have been uploaded as MP3 to a new MediaFire folder called 'Scraps'. It's where I will be placing previews of my new work as well as gather opinions from you listeners out there. Keep in mind that nothing in this folder is finalized, and some of it may never be finished. Here's to hoping that the Gargoyle remastering process doesn't end prematurely!

By the time you read this, a couple other projects named Axis and EverFall may also have been uploaded...

2009-01-15: Sanxion7 @ MediaFire

I've looked online for a place to release high quality versions of my work. There are a lot of music sites out there, but they just didn't seem as robust as simple file-sharing sites. So, I've decided to see how things go with opening an account at MediaFire. When you click that link, you will have access to high quality encodes of my music. I've only started with Mute as of now. If things go well, there's more to come.

2009-01-08: Mute

Mute has been released today. I've reconstructed the Wasp guitar synth and I think sounds much better than before. The project file uses 112 patterns, 45 channels, and only two VSTs: the BuzMaxi3 limiter and GranComp3 multiband compressor (You really want these plugins, go get them!). By the time you read this, the song should be playable from the list at the top of the page.

2008-11-10: Techniques

Something occurred to me today. The different devices I use all have a different frequency response. So how is it possible to create a good mix using any of it, when none of them are truly accurate? I read up on some accoustic correction equipment online and thought it was a neat idea. Unfortunately, my budget doesn't allow for the purchase of that. However, using my ears, some test tone generators (DAW + sine synth) at different frequencies and my own ears, I was able to create charts for the inaccuracies of my devices. I took a sine wave and played it at a bunch of different bands, I think I went through about 30 each. Then, I used an equalizer at each of the different bands and adjusted it so the sine wave sounded at the same volume to me at every band. I then took a few minutes to rest my ears, then took the EQ setup and recreated it in my Creative Console - which happens to contain an EQ in Audio Creation Mode. I saved this profile for my headphones and listened to some music from my personal library.

The result? It sounded amazing!

Music will sound way better in a system that can more accurately reproduce it. If you don't have a high end system, you need to compensate for shortcomings in its reproduction. Granted, this implementation is by no means perfect, but it's definitely an option for those of us who are barely getting by.

In unrelated news, I've added achors to these news items. You can now directly link them by date. The dates on the articles are links to themselves (so you can copy/paste them elsewhere.) Also, the Contact page had some links added so you can open your IM and drop me a line with a simple click.

2008-10-22: Projects galore

Sanxion7 album?
I've been writing music for quite a few years now and the popularity of it has increased beyond what I anticipated. So, I brainstormed for a bit about how to provide something special; something tangible for the listeners that they could take with them and give them a way to support what they like. The idea finally came: it will be a remix album aimed for late 2009 consisting of new versions of songs that I've written from 2000 to the present. It will also contain some new material. This is going to keep my work on SoundClick a little sparse for the duration, but the results should be spectacular.

Here's a list of the songs that may be considered:

Tracker modules
Rabid Reactor (Protracker MOD)
Jungle of Zeal (Impulse Tracker IT)
September Skies (Impulse Tracker IT)

Songs that have been removed from SoundClick
Fangs
Feelings
Heat
Lioness
Sine Reality
Trance Evolution

Songs that can be played using the player on this site
Aquasphere
Concerto
Dreamcatcher
EternuS
Fission
Gargoyle
Night Gliding
Ode to Dragon
Raining Up
Red Gaia
Terminal
TRANCE 1307
Trance Theory

Extreme-G 2
There's a futuristic racing game that I still find not to have been matched by any other. That would be Extreme-G 2. They released a PC version of the game but it's not exactly future-proof. They used palette-based textures, a feature of video cards that has been since removed. They also used a function that breaks execution on Windows XP systems. My newest project is to renovate the game not only to work on newer systems, but also have some extra features as well.

So far, I've been able to modify the game to actually run on Windows XP. The next step of the project is to decipher the game's compression formats as well as the graphics formats. By doing this, I will be able to convert all the textures to a non-palette format (true color) so they will work on new graphics cards properly. This should make the game look visually perfect.

The final part of the project is very complex. I've always believed the music from the N64 version of the game was superior. I want to take the music from the N64 game, decipher the music format, convert it into .XM format, then alter the game to use the BASS library by Ian Luck for music playback. Since I don't have the source code to the game, this is going to involve modifying the original program byte by byte! I'm still considering whether or not the hack is worth doing, but I will certainly do the XM music extraction at the very least.

2008-09-08: Jumpgroove and Transparent

I think an update is a bit overdue for the site, don't you think?

An old track I made called Jumpgroove was put on the SoundClick page today (and can also be heard using the player on this page). It's actually been done for a few months, but I really wanted to add lyrics to it. Unfortunately, I couldn't really think of how I wanted to add them. So, I touched up the track a bit and released it as-is.

I also wrote a segment of Transparent a long time ago but decided to put it off - there was only about 45 seconds of it made when I made the BemaniStyle thread. It's in much the same style as the music I wrote back around 2004-2005. Epic trance-ish. It's no Aquasphere, but it's still decent.

There's a lot in progress yet. Many unfinished projects that have one central theme to them. They just need a song built around it. I'm moving into electro house soon. Songs such as "Wig Raffle", "Connect", and a remix of the theme from Druid on the Commodore 64 will hopefully be done by the end of the year. (Titles thrown in for anticipation factor!) If you are unfamiliar with Electro House, why not stop by an internet radio station that plays it? DI.FM has a great Electro House station. It's new and I hope it stays. A lot of the music there has inspired me lately.

(Also, Druids are overpowered and I looove it.)

2008-07-18: Dreamcatcher

It's been over a month since the song was first heard on SoundClick. I've decided against having it published any other way. So today, the song is available from three locations (officially.) MySpace and SoundClick are the primary web outlets. But if you're able to use Torrents, there's a third option that should satisfy far more: Dreamcatcher [+bonus] torrent

This torrent not only contains the original song in 320kbps quality, but the instrumental and acapella versions as well. There's even a FLP file for those of you that use FL Studio should you be interested in how the synths were constructed for the song.

Thanks for all the positive feedback! Also, for those of you that use the torrent... since there's no limit to what can be put on a tracker, would you guys prefer FLAC instead? Let me know.

2008-07-01: Two commandments

I'd be lying if I said I am an actively religious person. Despite this, I think a set of commandments are very important - they're a solid set of moral rules. I've come up with two that I believe to be very important and should apply to everyone, religious, atheist, or otherwise:

1. Thou shalt always think for thine self
2. To thine own self be true

I didn't come up with these, but I read them somewhere and found them to be very insightful. Maybe you will, too.

2008-06-03: Incoming hiatus

I've decided the tune I wrote for Evoke 2008 isn't really demo music. And it's too good to hold up that long. So I present to you...

Dreamcatcher.

It's by far the most complex FL project I've ever done. It spanned 3 months, uses 50 FX channels, and over 100 patterns. Every synth used in the song was programmed by me using only 2 FL plugins (3xOsc and Wasp) except the piano, which was a VST created by EVM. The vocals are my own and were recorded as they were thought of over a week's time.

The song's idea came from a thought I had one day. The gamer population has definitely grown since I first joined it years ago. It's great entertainment and it puts you in another world - sort of like a dream does. But do you ever think that perhaps someone might just want to dream forever? Maybe to some people out there, the dream world is the real one and being awake is a disease. Or, at least they want it to be.

After a project as epic as this and school having started again, I'll probably be taking a break from writing any new material. School is my priority, and I need to be putting everything into it while I'm there.

As for other things that have been happening, IIDXGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD for the Playstation 2 came out! Woo! Also, WoW has been quite interesting lately - mostly with guild splits, mergers, etc. I think Slaught's finally found a stable home in Golden Dawn now. (I'll miss you, Thorden!)

2008-04-14: The next project is brewing...

A new project idea is set for this year: recreations of some of the older material using newer techniques. They will still be remixes, but remain true to their original moods. Lioness, Gargoyle, and Concerto are a few planned projects. If you have any ideas of your own what could be included in the remake project, drop me a line. I'd love to hear from you. There's also another very special project set to make its debut at Evoke 2008 in August. Trust me, it'll be mind-blowingly good.

Also, ClanChat is being rewritten using Microsoft's .NET framework to ensure future compatibility with newer operating systems (since they seem to really want to phase out VB6 and unmanaged code anyway...) Expect a release either this month or next month.

On a more personal note, I've gotten back into World of Warcraft and started to level a character on the Alliance side of the Cairne server. I enjoy new servers a lot, and this one started in the beginning of March. My priest has had some very good progress these last few weeks and I've settled in with a small but tight raiding guild.

I made good friends with a fellow musician in that guild (hey Pezto!) who likes to write oldschool hiphop - the best kind. Check him out sometime. "Happily Ever After" is amazing. There's just something about vinyl sampling, downtempo beats and classic instruments that hits me just right.

2008-03-25: Sanxion7 Collection via Torrent

Want it all? Now you can get all my stream work via the Torrent I posted today at thepiratebay.org. Some of this year's work has been included, too, such as LiGHT and Blooming Steel Flower.

2008-03-22: LiGHT (Instrumental)

It's out. The trade I did with Avator has been released at the SoundClick page. I did a song for one of her characters, Light, and she drew Pike for me. I still think that I haven't held up my end of the bargain yet, so there will be vocals added later. But for now, I needed to get this pent-up release off my chest :) Play it above or check out the Music link to download it. It's some of the best industrial yet.

2008-03-21: EternuS (remastered)

The original was mastered quite poorly and my skills have developed since then. So, I've uploaded a new version of EternuS online. It's no different except it should sound much better.

2008-03-20: ClanChat Updated (v1.3.1) [1041]

Lots of updates lately. More bugs squashed. You can now resize the text in the browser (but you need to select the text box first.) Another option to allow you to post messages just by pressing Enter has been added - but you can still do multi-line posts by using Shift-Enter to create a new line. A little workaround for Twilight's link-bug has been added but isn't yet perfect. It should still reduce your chances of accidentally invoking it, though.

For those of you waiting for my next music project... here's a clip from it (link removed). It's an art/music trade with Avator.

2008-03-17: HeatRiser

Another chiptune. This one took a lot longer than Ice Moss to complete and is done in the same fashion. I think I really like this new method of tracking :) Downloads page has the info.

2008-03-17: ClanChat Updated (v1.3) [1033]

Now you can watch all 3 chats at the same time and switch between them. Also, you can have seperate profiles selected for each chat - so if you are playing one character in one and another in a different chat. Both of these are disabled by default and can be found in the options menu.

I haven't been able to test this on Vista, but it should work. You may need to run it as administrator.

(quick edit: 1033 fixes some small things)

2008-03-16: ClanChat Fixes

Some users were reporting that the program didn't work with Station8 and that there were some problems with the program being unresponsive at times. A few other fixes have been implemented, including the removal of tags from names when posting to S8 or GFW. Get the latest version here. Enjoy :)

2008-03-15: ClanChat v1.2

Twilight Browser has become ClanChat. It is now compatible with S8 and GFW! Read more about it on the download page.

2008-03-09: Twilight Browser

I've designed a custom Windows client for my now-favorite online chat: Twilight Clan :) Check it out on the download page.

2008-03-08: Ice Moss

Chiptune quickie. It employs some tracker techniques I haven't ever used or really seen before. You can play it in the player above, download it at SoundClick, or get the original XM tracker file here. However, I assure you... if you have the choice, I highly recommend playing it using XMPlay. The XM file is a lot smaller and it doesn't suffer from compression artifacts that MP3 does. While you're at it, you can get Mavulosa in this format too.

2008-02-22: Download Page Added

On-site downloads should be available on the nav-bar above now. Music will not be included unless it's a work-in-progress - you can download MP3s using the Music link above.

2008-02-21: Blooming Steel Flower

This song has been in the works for a few months now, but I've just added the finishing touches to the second verse which allowed me to wrap it up and send it out. Check it out on the player above, or visit the SoundClick page if you'd like to take it with ya.

2008-02-15: Michiel van den Bos - Hub 5 (Sanxion7 Remix)

My first (overdue) song of 2008 has arrived! It's a short one, but a hard-hitting remix of one of my favorite Unreal tunes of all time. A lot more techno than the original, too. Check it out on the music page at SoundClick. Or, if you prefer the loop instead, check this thread at the Epic Games forums which includes OGGs for the song loop, non-action loop, and stinger effects.

Better yet, try the new player at the top of this page! Anything that appears on SoundClick will instantly be playable from here. You will still need to use SoundClick to download the songs, however.

2008-02-10: Mmmmm, Industrial.

I've been playing a lot of Unreal Tournament 3 lately. The music in the game is excellent. That's why I wrote this nifty little utility that will allow you to extract the music from the installed PC version of the game. All audio is in OGG format.

Unreal Tournament 3 Music Extractor v1.2

Enjoy!

2008-01-28: Hackers attack Scientology Digg

I used to support them; this "anonymous" group as they call themselves. You've got to give the guys props. They've uploaded sensitive material to the internet in an attempt to show their discontent for the repeated removal of Scientology-related videos. Cool. If you haven't taken the red pill and found out more about who the attacks are coming from, it's best that you don't. I visited #xenu for a night. 900+ users and such a collective immaturity. A big script kiddie party. It's like IP addresses were crack and there were hundreds of addicts going ape chasing after the only guy who could supply them. "Anonymous" must be quite embarassed to even be remotely associated with those guys. Then again, for coordinated attacks, I suppose there's nothing wrong with having 900 disposable adolescent rejects do your bidding. But guys, DDoS is only a minor nuisance. The only way to make people turn away is to make them fear it. I doubt taking down their website is going to mess their pants up something fierce.

Also, grats for attacking some school in Netherlands by mistake. Hope you enjoyed yourself.

2008-01-25: New project

I've got a million projects going. Well, a million and one with this new one. I'll be remixing Draigun's "Etude to a Dragon". You can listen to the original at his MySpace page. If you enjoyed it, you might enjoy a clip of the remix (link removed). Let me know what you think.

Also, I've done some "corrections" to the post below. Admittedly, I haven't been to many of those sites in the last couple years and posted about them before visiting. Station 8 actually does have a very active message board. Twilight is a bit more alive and welcoming than I'd remembered. But as for Gargoyles-Fans... well... at least their main site has tons of information about the show.

2008-01-23: A little blog

Yeah, a new opportunity to test out my template. This site needs more traffic anyway.

For those of you that didn't know (and actually cared) I've moved my World of Warcraft characters to the Khaz'Goroth server. My rogue is still named Blazewrath and you can find my newly-leveled priest under the name Räven. Visit me sometime, I like to chat it up from time to time. But please, don't ask me for gold. I don't have any :)

I may consider bugging Sherl0k for more web space so I can release all my new material here instead of SoundClick at top quality. Though I don't know what he'd think of all the traffic, considering my SoundClick site already receives a few hundred page views daily. It's a neat idea that I'd like to see materialized though. Maybe sometime soon.

By the way, fellow Gargoyles fans (you might know me better as Pike), I haven't disappeared from the fan scene entirely. But the Gargoyles-Fans chat died, and I didn't much like Station 8 (which also seems somewhat dead - except for a lively message board). Nothing personal, guys. Twilight is more about role-playing. It's fun and active daily, if not timelessly unorthodox. I still want to attend Gathering of the Gargoyles one of these days. Money's short, but hopefully after I'm done with college it won't be much of a problem. With the 2008 convention being in Chicago, this is about as close as it's ever going to get. I just hope the scene hasn't died by then. The show was great and such a long-standing following really justifies its excellence. Dear Disney, I bought both of the Gargoyles DVDs and thoroughly enjoyed them. Please don't make me resort to "obtaining" (link removed) the second half of the second season and all of the third to enjoy high quality episodes. Thank you.

2008-01-22: Out with the old

I've designed a new template for the site. Hope you guys like it. It's still devoid of any of the really cool CSS stuff everyone's going crazy about and the HTML is far from neat, but at least it's much nicer than the last one. The new design is heavily inspired by the theme of beatmaniaIIDX 8th style.

The real reason I haven't been updating this site is because I lost the program that I made to create these news items quickly. Thankfully, I've found the program and have ditched the old configuration completely.
